Candidate for Chilliwack North

In their own words

This candidate hasn’t listed a campaign website or social account with the Town. That says nothing about them as a candidate — it just means less of their material is published online for us to summarise.

Where they stand

Every candidate in this race is shown against the same 12 issues, in the same order, whether or not we’ve found something for each one. Why we do it this way.

Healthcare

Will there be a doctor, a hospital, and care when we need it?

Supports MRI funding to bring care closer to home.

  • PRE-WINDOW: Facebook image post on her campaign page dated Oct 21 20:43 EDT (before the 05:00 EDT window) — the first Shaukat campaign-content catch; she has only one build row (affordability).
  • Campaign graphic over an MRI-room photo quotes her backing the BC NDP's Chilliwack MRI pledge (paired with Paddon's Oct 21 Sardis Park announcement).
  • Post was 'authorized by BC NDP Financial Agent, Karen Cooling' — Chilliwack North candidate content.

“I was raised by a single mother who was a school teacher, and I'm now a proud mother of three. Through my public service and work with local non-profits, I've seen how affordability, homelessness and access to healthcare affect people in Chilliwack North. I'm running with the BC NDP to be a strong local voice and help build good jobs, strengthen healthcare and lower costs for families.”
