Bio

Bernard Tompkins

Bernard Tompkins was born and raised in Ward 2 and has spent nearly 20 years solving problems in the trades and leading teams in high-pressure environments. He wants City Hall to get back to basics: clean streets, safe public spaces, strong neighbourhood businesses and services residents can rely on.

Bill Houston

Bill Houston is a candidate for Ward 2 councillor. Email: houstonwilliam20@gmail.com.

Brian Lewis

Brian Lewis was born and raised in Hamilton's North End. He is Métis, with roots in the Red River region of Manitoba, and was elected as a Councillor-at-Large with the Clearwater Council of the Métis Nation of Ontario. Former Mayor Bob Morrow asked him to become a founding member of Hamilton's Mayors' Race Relations committee in the 1980s, and he volunteered with the Hamilton Police Service's Victim Services Branch for almost five years. His career was in logistics, leading Canadian operations for a major carrier and helping build post-9/11 border security frameworks. Email: brian@brianlewis.ca.

Cameron Kroetsch Elected (official result)

Cameron Kroetsch is the incumbent Ward 2 councillor, running to build on the work he started in his first term. His top priorities are making the city more affordable, improving street, pedestrian and community safety, and ensuring sidewalks and roads are cleaner, better maintained and more accessible. Email: info@CameronForWard2.ca.

Daniel Greene

Daniel Greene is a non-denominational minister known for dressing as Darth Vader and the Joker during local festivals. He campaigned on building non-profit housing, repaving roads, and opposing the outsourcing of street and sidewalk clearing.

Eisham Abdulkarim

Eisham Abdulkarim is running for Ward 2 because he believes the ward deserves better: safer streets, greater affordability and a City Hall that answers to residents. He brings years of frontline public-service experience and a record of standing up for people, and says he will turn resident concerns into action and promises into measurable results. Email: Vote.ward2@gmail.com.

Kelly Oucharek

Kelly Oucharek is a Registered Nurse who has served a diverse population for 27 years. Raised in City Housing, she says she understands firsthand the challenges many families face every day, and would bring compassion and an analytical lens to the job. She is running because she believes Ward 2 has not had a strong advocate.

Rodney Elesie

Rodney Elesie is an auditor and a candidate for Ward 2 councillor. Email: relesie50@gmail.com.

Tony Sciara

Tony Sciara is a lifelong Hamiltonian, born in the North End, and a business owner of 42 years.
