“I support mixed-use development, infill housing and adding more housing within existing neighbourhoods so people can live closer to work, school, shopping, services and transit. During my time on Council, I supported zoning changes allowing up to four residential units on approximately 41,500 residential lots across Kitchener. I also supported Growing Together East, which creates planning capacity for more than 35,000 homes around major transit areas, including the potential for up to 1,700 affordable homes. As Kitchener grows, housing and transportation planning need to work together so more residents have a realistic choice to walk, cycle or take transit rather than needing a car for every trip.”
