Candidate for Ward 4 Councillor
This candidate hasn’t listed a campaign website or social account with the Town. That says nothing about them as a candidate — it just means less of their material is published online for us to summarise.
Every candidate in this race is shown against the same 16 issues, in the same order, whether or not we’ve found something for each one. Why we do it this way.

Kappaya says bike-share is useless without protected, dedicated bike lanes, especially for seniors scared to share roads.
“We can have an abundance of bike sharing options in the region, but they are useless without protected and dedicated bike lanes. So many of the people I know, especially elder and senior people, are scared to share the roads given current driving incidents being on the rise. We need protected bike lanes so people are actually comfortable using their own and shared micro mobility devices. There should be integration with the GRT as well. Last mile transit is often what deters people from using public transportation all together. Many bus stops, especially in ward 4, are simple too time consuming to get to by walk, often 15-20 mins from Relevant POIs (for example the doon south plaza being a full 15-20 min walk from the nearest GRT bus stop). By integrating the GRT system with third party micromobility services, that burden is removed from the GRT, and more people are inclined to use both services, reducing carbon emissions and promoting healthier lifestyles.”

Candidates and members of the public can both report a correction. Every one is logged and answered, and corrections about a candidate’s own positions get priority.
