Brooklin Wallis

Candidate for Ward 6 Councillor

In their own words

This candidate hasn’t listed a campaign website or social account with the Town. That says nothing about them as a candidate — it just means less of their material is published online for us to summarise.

Where they stand

Every candidate in this race is shown against the same 16 issues, in the same order, whether or not we’ve found something for each one. Why we do it this way.

Housing

Will I be able to afford to live here?

Wallis would ease zoning and parking minimums and encourage co-ops and supportive housing to cut costs.

  • Address zoning and parking minimums to allow more housing
  • Encourage co-ops and supportive housing
  • More mixed-use zoning for corner stores and small businesses

“Lots of things! Most importantly, filling in gaps that currently exist in the network. Ideally, we would entirely remove all instances where you're on a path, thrust into traffic for a bit, and then back on a bike path. I also want more separated bike paths and to expand the network further into the suburbs of the city.”
