Candidate for Councillor Ward 5
This candidate hasn’t listed a campaign website or social account with the Town. That says nothing about them as a candidate — it just means less of their material is published online for us to summarise.
Every candidate in this race is shown against the same 16 issues, in the same order, whether or not we’ve found something for each one. Why we do it this way.

Rose: multi-year funding helps front-line homelessness organizations plan, budget and hire.
“Yes — Nonprofit organizations are on the front lines of addressing some of the most pressing challenges of the day, most notably the homelessness crisis. Many nonprofit organizations are doing work that perhaps should be done by the public sector, but it’s not and that’s where we are. Multi-year funding and longer-term partnerships make it easier for these organizations to plan, to budget, to hire staff, and to serve Londoners effectively.”

Rose: consult nonprofits the way the development community is consulted — meaningfully and proactively.
“There’s a good deal of expertise in the nonprofit sector. It may sound trite, but I think that listening is an important first step. One model to look to is the City’s relationship with the development community. The development community is consistently consulted meaningfully and proactively on matters related to planning. I think that the nonprofit community should be consulted on the same level.”
