Bio

ACTON, Ken Elected (official result)

Acton Ken is a third-generation Ward 5 resident whose career has spanned education, architecture, the labour movement, community building and housing; he lives on the same street he grew up on. He is running on a housing-crisis platform: well-designed, safe, energy-efficient homes at varying prices, with in-fill development planned so it does not displace long-term working-class residents.

Economy

Will our main streets and local jobs thrive?

ACTON, Ken Elected (official result)

No website or social media listed

Acton wants a walkable, human-scale downtown that serves daily life and becomes the city's most vibrant neighbourhood.

  • Says a healthy urban core is the key to any city's success: it must be a destination, not a drive-through.
  • Downtown must be safe, walkable (narrow lanes, two-way streets, slower speeds), comfortable (human-scale architecture, shade trees), interesting (no blank walls or parking lots breaking the street wall) and useful (essential services, shopping, schools).
  • Says downtown must be the most vibrant neighbourhood in the city, supporting daily life rather than just an entertainment district.
